QR codes
QR code invitations
A QR code is simply your invitation link in printable form. Guests point a camera at it and the invitation opens in their browser — no app, no typing.
Where a QR code earns its place
- A printed card for relatives who do not use messaging apps
- Table cards at the venue linking to the schedule
- Office noticeboards and lobby screens for company events
- Thank-you notes and favours after the event
Printing it so it scans
Keep the code at least 2 cm across for handheld cards and much larger for posters. Leave white space around it, avoid printing it over a photo, and never stretch it out of square.
Test with two phones before you print a hundred copies.
Use the link and the code together
Digital channels get the link; anything printed gets the code. Both point at the same page, so an update reaches everyone at once.
Frequently asked questions
- Do guests need an app to scan it?
- No. The built-in camera on modern iPhones and Android phones scans QR codes directly.
- Does the code expire?
- No. It points at your invitation link, so it keeps working as long as the invitation is published.
- Can I edit the invitation after printing the code?
- Yes. The link does not change when you edit, so printed codes stay valid.
- What size should I print it?
- About 2-3 cm on a card, 10 cm or more on a poster people scan from a distance.
